Theodore “Ted” Moore was a member of MVCC’s Mathematics Department from 1981 until his death in December 1996. Ted was tragically taken from his family, friends, students and colleagues through the actions of a drunk driver while out for a morning run. The Ted Moore Run/Walk Committee hosts this event every year to honor Ted’s memory and his love of running. This event raises funds for the Ted Moore Memorial Scholarship Fund, an endowed scholarship that will support deserving MVCC students who exemplify the qualities and values of Ted Moore.
